Tolman was searching for other roles with a twist. Tolman was a part of ABC's Downward Dog in 2017, Based on the Animal Media Group's online series. The show was cancelled after one season. Tolman was a part of ABC's Emergence drama that debuted on the 24th of September, 2019, however it was canceled by ABC following one year of airing in May of 2020. even though Tolman tweeting that the ratings were "pretty decent". The actress was also an guest on the NBC show Good Girls. She appeared as Alma Filcott during the second season of Why Women Kill.
